Pastor Franklin Net Worth
Jentezen Franklin is a famous Pentecostal minister and famous author of several best-selling novels. Jentezen Franklin Net Worth $2 million, his salary and earnings for the coming years are guaranteed to soar. But Franklins faithful following the directives of God has also seen a dip in his income. The dip is said to be directly connected to his shift from traditional ministry to modern ministry with an African American church. This change apparently had a major impact on the people he was serving. It is said that they no longer felt comfortable hearing his preaching from him in their daily devotions.
Some Christians attributed the drop in the income of the pastor to the trend of the day towards “fasting for cash”. Many people are now more interested in earning money fast rather than spending on tithes and prayers. According to Franklin, “the days of fasting are over. There was nothing wrong about it then, and they're still isn’t anything wrong about it now.” Franklin’s ministry has always stressed the importance of prayer and tithes as financial support to the church.
Fasting as a spiritual practice has been practiced by the ancients and is still carried on by some of the followers of Christianity today. The word “fasting” means emptying the mind, soul, and body in preparation for receiving certain benefits or health from God. Through the ages, many people have resorted to fasting in order to receive the bounty of God’s bountiful blessings. During the late medieval period, Jentezen Franklin made it a habit to fast for just twenty-five days in order to receive God’s blessing and receive forgiveness from the penitent thief.
During the early years of his ministry, Jentezen was known to fast every day for the Lord. It is recorded in the writings of Elder Wight that he once said in a sermon, “I went to the house of the Lord and I fasted all day long for the benefit of the Lord. I know that the man who will not fast is not of the Kingdom of God.” Sadly, this good reverend died too soon after he experienced the wonderful effects of fasting on his soul and body. His life is celebrated on the 21st day of the month which is called the “right day of the feast,” or “fasting day.”
It is interesting to note that in the book of Acts, our Lord commanded that His disciples go and enter into a mountain too fast. They were fasting and doing works of mercy. It was recorded that they went into the rock wherein there was water, and there they washed their hands before entering, for they were mindful of their sins. This act of the elders of the church of Jerusalem made the Gospel of the kingdom readily available to all people in the world. Jentezen Franklin was one of the greatest men of his day, who lived by the commandments of our Lord.
